Dance – a thing of romance –
Where forms are free in step
Her and I, we’re flowing
Ne’er moved this way as yet
Seats and stones we occupy
Stillness I can’t forget
Silence makes me whole again
And birds we take as pets
Ducks and swans and woodland birds,
We watch them play in groups
We are but two odd birds ourselves
The city is our coop
But wings I will not need!
Unmoving, I am free;
Quiet moments feel
Like they were made for you and me.
When we stir and move again
Our pinions turn to paws
Playful grins, we snap and spin:
Feigning kittens’ jaws
Strolling out the lobby,
In search of dance we go
Two cats like us must wander
Until we find the show
Connected – almost psychic –
We prance around the room
Moving ever faster,
We romp as lions do
This freedom, it is priceless
I know you feel it, too
Aura,
I’ll go anywhere
As long
as it’s
with you.
